Project Overview

Overview

Project Overview is part of the Projects module where you view project information in one place while you initiate, track, and manage projects. From this area, you work with the project’s Overview tab and related project tabs that are available in your workspace.

How to access

  1. In the Compass sidebar, click Projects.
  2. Open a project to view its tabs, then click Overview.

Key features

  • View project details for a selected project.
  • Use the project’s available tabs to move between project areas, including Overview, Project Details, Tasks, Timesheets, Budgets, Travel, Notes, Contacts, Related Project, Surveys, Files, Dayrates, Billings, and Expenses. (Some tabs may be conditionally available based on your workspace configuration and permissions.)
  • Project Plan (disabled/under development).

Field descriptions

The following fields are used in the Projects module and appear in project views and/or project tables:

  • Project Name: The name of the project.
  • Primary Target Completion Date: The project’s primary target date.
  • Stage: The project stage.
  • Status: The project status.
  • Risk Type: The project risk type.
  • Internal: Indicates the project is internal.
  • Private: Indicates the project is private.
  • Secondary Target Completion Date: The project’s secondary target date.
  • Primary Director: The primary project director.
  • Secondary Director: The secondary project director.
  • At Risk: Indicates the project is marked at risk.
  • Risk Adjusted Completion Date: The risk-adjusted date for the project.
  • Project Risk Notes: Notes related to project risk.
  • Project Health: The project health value.
  • Blueprint: The blueprint associated with the project.
  • Parent Project: The parent project relationship.
  • Tags: Tags applied to the project.
  • Created At / Updated At: When the project was created and last updated.
  • Created By / Updated By: The user who created and last updated the project.
