Scheduled Reports
Learn how to automate report generation and delivery with scheduled reports.
Overview
Scheduled Reports allow you to automatically generate and deliver reports on a recurring basis. Set up a schedule once, and Compass will generate the report at specified intervals and email it to your chosen recipients.
Creating a Scheduled Report
- Go to Report Builder → Scheduled Reports
- Click to create a new schedule
- Fill in the schedule configuration form
Report Configuration
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule Name | Yes | A descriptive name for this schedule |
| Report Type | Yes | Select the entity type: Projects, Tasks, or Trips |
| Saved Report | Yes | Select from your saved custom views for the chosen entity type |
| Internal Recipients (Users) | No | Select workspace users to receive the report |
| External Recipients (Emails) | No | Enter email addresses for external recipients |
| Administration Notes | No | Internal notes (not included in the email) |
You can paste multiple external email addresses at once, separated by commas, semicolons, or spaces. Invalid emails will be highlighted in red.
Schedule Configuration
| Field | Required | Description |

| Period (Frequency) | Yes | How often to send: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly |
| Time | Yes | Time of day to send the report |
| Weekdays | Yes (weekly only) | Which days of the week to send (shown only for Weekly frequency) |
| Email Subject | Yes | Subject line of the delivered email |
| Email Message | No | Body text of the email |
| Active | Yes | Toggle whether this schedule is currently active (Yes/No) |
How Saved Reports Work
The Saved Report dropdown shows custom views you have previously saved. The available options change based on the selected Report Type:
- Projects → shows your saved project views
- Tasks → shows your saved task views
- Trips → shows your saved trip views
Changing the report type resets the saved report selection.
Managing Scheduled Reports
Viewing Schedules
- Go to Report Builder → Scheduled Reports
- View all configured schedules
Editing a Schedule
- Click on a schedule to open it
- Modify the settings
- Save changes
Activating or Deactivating
Use the Active toggle on a schedule to enable or disable it without deleting the configuration.
Deleting a Schedule
- Open the scheduled report
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion
Viewing Logs
Each schedule has a logs tab where you can review the delivery history and status of past executions.
