Task Catalogs
Overview
Task Catalogs lets you view and manage task catalogs in the Tasks module. You use catalogs to organize catalog items and track catalog updates through the available catalog tabs.
How to access
In the Compass sidebar, go to Tasks and select Task Catalogs. If you do not have permission, Task Catalogs is not available because Catalogs is capability-gated.
Key features
- View the Task Catalogs list with the catalog table columns: Actions, Created, Name, Owners, Collaborators, Project Blueprints, Workspaces, Category, Subcategory, Notes.
- Open a Single Catalog and use the catalog tabs: Overview, Rules, Pending Reviews, and Change History.
- Review Pending Reviews using the table columns: Actions, Name, Change Type, Status, Last Modified, Modified By, Approver.
- Manage catalog collaboration using Add Collaborators.
- Delete catalogs using Delete catalog.
- Manage catalog items, including:
- View catalog items in the Catalog Items table (see Field descriptions).
- Open a Single Catalog Item and use the available item tabs/areas: Task Information, Task Information Review, History, and Feedback. Some item sections (for example Task Applicability & Timing and Project-based Overrides) may be conditionally visible depending on configuration and item settings.
- Delete catalog items using Delete catalog item.
- Import catalog items using Import Task Catalog Item.
- (Under development) The Rules tab is listed but marked as disabled/under development: “Re-enable Rules tab once functionality is fully complete.” Do not rely on catalog-level rule tools while this tab is disabled.

Task Catalogs table fields
- Actions: Actions available for a catalog.
- Created: When the catalog was created.
- Name: The catalog name.
- Owners: Users listed as owners of the catalog.
- Collaborators: Users added as collaborators.
- Project Blueprints: Project blueprints linked to the catalog.
- Workspaces: Workspaces associated with the catalog.
- Category: The catalog category.
- Subcategory: The catalog subcategory.
- Notes: Notes for the catalog.
Catalog Items table fields
- Actions: Actions available for a catalog item.
- Name: The catalog item name.
- Owners: Users listed as owners.
- Assignees: Users listed as assignees.
- Assignee(s) Roles: Roles used for assignment.
- Departments: Departments linked to the item.
- Disciplines: Disciplines linked to the item.
- Teams: Teams linked to the item.
- Priority: Priority level for the item.
- Status: Status for the item.
- Duration: Duration for the item.
- Due Date Relative To: The reference used for due date timing.
- Relative Date Field: The project date field used as the reference.
- Lead Time: Lead time to the reference date.
- Adjust Dates If Reference Changes: Whether dates adjust when the reference changes.
- Category: Category for the item.
- Subcategory: Subcategory for the item.
- Major Milestone: Whether the item is marked as a major milestone.
- Delay Will Raise Red Flag: Whether delay raises a red flag.
- Will Delay Project Completion: Whether the item will delay project completion.
- Completion Requires Approval: Whether completion requires approval.
- Applies To Any Project: Whether the item applies to any project.
- Adjust Based On Project Details: Whether the item adjusts based on project details.
- Has Dependencies: Whether the item has dependencies.
- Task Creation Trigger: When the task should be created.
- Subject Matter Expert Name: Name of the subject matter expert.
- Subject Matter Expert Email: Email of the subject matter expert.
- Dependencies: Dependency information for the item.
- Links: Linked items.
- Subtasks: Subtasks included in the item.
- Files: Files attached to the item.
- Creation Rules: Creation rules linked to the item.
- Applicability Rules: Applicability rules linked to the item.
- Notes: Notes for the item.
- Feedback: Feedback associated with the item.
- Created At / Created By: When and by whom the item was created.
- Updated At / Updated By: When and by whom the item was last updated.
- Description: Description of the item.
Pending Reviews table fields
- Actions: Actions available for a pending review entry.
- Name: Name of the reviewed item.
- Change Type: Type of change.
- Status: Review status.
- Last Modified: When it was last modified.
- Modified By: Who modified it.
- Approver: Approver shown for the review entry.
