Task Catalogs

Overview​

Task Catalogs lets you view and manage task catalogs in the Tasks module. In this feature, you work with catalogs and their catalog items, and you can review catalog changes using the available catalog tabs.

How to access​

In the Compass sidebar, go to Tasks and select Task Catalogs. This feature is capability-gated, so you only see Task Catalogs if your user role has permission.

Key features​

  • View task catalogs in a table with the catalog fields listed in the Catalogs Table.
  • Open a single catalog (Key Area: Single Catalog) and use these tabs:
    • Overview
    • Rules (under development — “Re-enable Rules tab once functionality is fully complete”)
    • Pending Reviews
    • Change History
  • View catalog items in a table with the fields listed in the Catalog Items Table.
  • Import Task Catalog Item.
  • Link Rules to Catalog Items, including Link Existing Rules and Link Selected Rules.
  • View pending reviews in the Pending Reviews Table (Key Area: Pending Reviews).
  • Open a catalog item (Key Area: Single Catalog Item) and use these tabs:
    • Task Information Review
    • Task Information
    • History
    • Feedback
  • Some catalog item sections may appear only when applicable, such as Task Applicability & Timing and Project-based Overrides.

Field descriptions​

Catalogs table fields​

These fields appear in the Catalogs Table:

  • Actions: available actions for the catalog.
  • Created: when the catalog was created.
  • Name: the catalog name.
  • Owners: catalog owners.
  • Collaborators: catalog collaborators.
  • Project Blueprints: project blueprints linked to the catalog.
  • Workspaces: workspaces associated with the catalog.
  • Category: catalog category.
  • Subcategory: catalog subcategory.
  • Notes: catalog notes.
