Task Catalog Item

Overview

Task catalog items let you review and update task configuration details such as assignment, timing, dependencies, and other catalog item settings. These settings appear in the task catalog item tables and dialogs.

How to access

  1. In the Tasks module, go to Task Catalogs. (This area is capability-gated and only appears if your user role has permission.)
  2. Open a catalog item (for example, from a catalog’s Catalog Items list).

Key features

  • Open related configuration dialogs used by catalog items:
    • Dependencies (including Delete dependency)
    • Configure Subtasks Override
    • Configure Resources Override
    • Configure Approval Settings Override
  • Save your updates with Save Changes.

Field descriptions

Catalog items use the fields shown in the Catalog Items Table:

  • Name: The catalog item name.
  • Owners: The task owner(s) for the catalog item.
  • Assignee(s): The assignee(s) for the catalog item.
  • Assignee(s) Roles: Role-based assignment for the catalog item.
  • Departments: Department(s) associated with the catalog item.
  • Disciplines: Discipline(s) associated with the catalog item.
  • Teams: Team(s) associated with the catalog item.
  • Priority: The priority level for the catalog item.
  • Status: The catalog item status.
  • Duration: The task duration.
  • Due Date Relative To: What the due date is relative to (catalog item context).
  • Relative Date Field: The reference date field used for relative timing.
  • Lead Time: Lead time to the reference date (catalog item context).
  • Adjust Dates If Reference Changes: Whether dates adjust when the reference changes.
  • Category: The catalog item category.
  • Subcategory: The catalog item subcategory.
  • Major Milestone: Whether the item is marked as a major milestone.
  • Delay Will Raise Red Flag: Whether delay raises a red flag.
  • Will Delay Project: Whether the task will delay the project.
  • Completion Requires Approval: Whether completion requires approval.
  • Applies To Any Project: Whether the task applies to any project.
  • Adjust Based On Project Details: Whether the task adjusts based on project details.
  • Has Dependencies: Whether the task has dependencies.
  • Task Creation Trigger: When the task should be created.
  • Subject Matter Expert Name: Subject matter expert name.
  • Subject Matter Expert Email: Subject matter expert email.
  • Dependencies: Dependency information for the catalog item.
  • Links: Linked items shown for the catalog item.
  • Subtasks: Subtask information for the catalog item.
  • Files: Files attached to the catalog item.
  • Creation Rules: Creation rules linked to the catalog item.
  • Applicability Rules: Applicability rules linked to the catalog item.
  • Notes: Notes for the catalog item.
  • Feedback: Feedback associated with the catalog item.
  • Created At / Created By: When and by whom the item was created.
  • Updated At / Updated By: When and by whom the item was last updated.
  • Description: The catalog item description.
