Task Catalogs: Overview

Overview

The Overview tab in Task Catalogs lets you view and work with task catalogs and their catalog items in one place. From here, you can open a single catalog, review catalog details, and use the available actions shown in the tables.

How to access

  1. In the Compass sidebar, click Tasks.
  2. In the Tasks header navigation, click Task Catalogs.
  3. Select the Overview tab.

Key features

  • View the Catalogs table with columns: Actions, Created, Name, Owners, Collaborators, Project Blueprints, Workspaces, Category, Subcategory, Notes.
  • Open a Single Catalog and view Catalog Details.
  • View the Catalog Items table with columns: Actions, Name, Owners, Assignees, Assignee(s) Roles, Departments, Disciplines, Teams, Priority, Status, Duration, Due Date Relative To, Relative Date Field, Lead Time, Adjust Dates If Reference Changes, Category, Subcategory, Major Milestone, Delay Will Raise Red Flag, Will Delay Project Completion, Completion Requires Approval, Applies To Any Project, Adjust Based On Project Details, Has Dependencies, Task Creation Trigger, Subject Matter Expert Name, Subject Matter Expert Email, Dependencies, Links, Subtasks, Files, Creation Rules, Applicability Rules, Notes, Feedback, Created At, Created By, Updated At, Updated By, Description.
  • Use Go to Catalog to navigate to the catalog.
  • Recent Catalog Updates.
  • If your role requires it, access to Catalogs is permission-gated.

Field descriptions

The Overview experience surfaces the following fields (as table columns and labels):

  • Catalogs table fields

    • Created: When the catalog was created.
    • Name: The catalog name.
    • Owners: Catalog owners.
    • Collaborators: Catalog collaborators.
    • Project Blueprints: Project blueprints linked to the catalog.
    • Workspaces: Workspaces associated with the catalog.
    • Category / Subcategory: Catalog classification fields.
    • Notes: Notes stored on the catalog.
  • Catalog items table fields

    • Name: Catalog item name.
    • Owners, Assignees, Assignee(s) Roles: Ownership and assignment fields for the catalog item.
    • Departments, Disciplines, Teams: Grouping fields shown on the item.
    • Priority, Status, Duration: Scheduling and status fields.
    • Due Date Relative To, Relative Date Field, Lead Time, Adjust Dates If Reference Changes: Relative-date and timing fields.
    • Major Milestone, Delay Will Raise Red Flag, Will Delay Project Completion: Milestone and delay indicator fields.
    • Completion Requires Approval: Whether completion requires approval.
    • Applies To Any Project, Adjust Based On Project Details: Applicability and adjustment fields.
    • Has Dependencies, Dependencies: Dependency indicators and counts/values shown in the table.
    • Task Creation Trigger: When the task should be created.
    • Subject Matter Expert Name, Subject Matter Expert Email: Subject matter expert contact fields.
    • Links, Subtasks, Files, Creation Rules, Applicability Rules, Feedback: Related item indicators shown in the table.
    • Created At, Created By, Updated At, Updated By: Audit fields.
    • Description, Notes, Category, Subcategory: Descriptive and classification fields.
    • Task Applicability & Timing, Project-based Overrides: These sections may be conditionally visible depending on the catalog item configuration (for example, when rules/overrides apply).
