Task Information (Task Catalog Item)

Overview

Task Information lets you view and work with a single task catalog item in the Tasks module. From this view, you can open the task catalog item details and see the task catalog item’s available tabs, including Task Information, History, and Feedback. Additional sections such as Task Applicability & Timing and Project-based Overrides may be available depending on the catalog item and configuration.

How to access

  1. In the Compass sidebar, go to Task Management.
  2. Click Task Catalogs (permission required).
  3. Open a catalog item to view its Task Information tab (or Task Information Review when you are in edit mode).

  • View a single Catalog Item in a task catalog.
  • Use the catalog item tabs:
    • Task Information (or Task Information Review)
    • History
    • Feedback
  • Additional sections such as Task Applicability & Timing and Project-based Overrides may appear depending on the catalog item and configuration.

Field descriptions

The following labels and fields are available for task catalog items in this feature:

  • Name: The name of the catalog item.
  • Owners: The user(s) listed as owners for the catalog item.
  • Assignee(s): The user(s) listed as assignees for the catalog item.
  • Assignee(s) Roles: The role-based assignment fields for the catalog item.
  • Departments: Department fields associated with the catalog item.
  • Disciplines: Discipline fields associated with the catalog item.
  • Teams: Team fields associated with the catalog item.
  • Priority: The priority value for the catalog item.
  • Status: The status value for the catalog item.
  • Duration: The duration value for the catalog item.
  • Category: The category value for the catalog item.
  • Subcategory: The subcategory value for the catalog item.
  • Major Milestone: Indicates the catalog item is a major milestone.
  • Delay Will Raise Red Flag: Indicates delay raises a red flag.
  • Will Delay Project Completion: Indicates the task will delay project completion.
  • Completion Requires Approval: Indicates completion requires approval.
  • Applies To Any Project: Indicates the task applies to any project.
  • Project-based Overrides: Indicates the task adjusts based on project details.
  • Dependencies: Indicates the task has dependencies.
  • Task Creation Trigger: The creation timing label for the task.
  • Due Date Relative To: The reference used for due date timing.
  • Relative Date Field: The project date field used as a reference.
  • Lead Time to Reference Date: The lead time value relative to the reference date.
  • Adjust Dates If Reference Changes: Indicates dates adjust if the reference changes.
  • Subject Matter Expert Name: The subject matter expert’s name.
  • Subject Matter Expert Email: The subject matter expert’s email.
  • Notes: Notes for the catalog item.
  • Description: Description text for the catalog item.
  • Tags: Tags applied to the catalog item.
  • Files: Files associated with the catalog item.
  • Subtasks: Subtasks associated with the catalog item.
  • Links: Links associated with the catalog item.
  • Created At: When the catalog item was created.
  • Created By: Who created the catalog item.
  • Updated At: When the catalog item was last updated.
  • Updated By: Who last updated the catalog item.
