Roles
Overview
Roles in the Users And Roles module let you manage role management and user permissions through role details and permissions settings. You use Roles to view role information and work with role permissions such as Module Permissions, Widget Permissions, Field Permissions, and Access Rules.
How to access
In your Compass workspace sidebar, go to Users And Roles and open the Roles tab.

- View Roles in the Roles table.
- Add a role using the header button Add Role (Roles area includes Add Role).
- Duplicate Role using Duplicate Role.
- Delete role using Delete role.
- View Details for a role (Single Role).

Field descriptions
Roles table columns
- Actions: Actions available for the role.
- Date Created: When the role was created.
- Created By: The user who created the role.
- Name: The role name.
- Description: The role description.
Single role fields and labels
- Role Details: Role details area for the selected role.
- Name: The role name.
- Description: The role description.
- Role(s) / Roles: The roles label used when working with roles.
Permissions fields and labels (as shown in Roles)
- Module Permissions: Module permissions for the role.
- Widget Permissions: Widget permissions for the role.
- Field Permissions: Field permissions for the role.
- Access Rules: Access rules for the role.
- Role Access Rule: A role access rule item.
- Rule Title: The title of a rule.
- Rule Note: A note on a rule.
- Rule Match: The rule match setting.
- ECondition Match: Condition match value used in rules.
- Condition List / Rule Condition List: The list of conditions in a rule.
- Rule Actions / Module Actions Settings: The actions settings used for rules and modules.
- Rules Search: Search label used for finding rules.
- Entities / Entity: Entity labels used in permissions and rules.
