Actions (Workflows & Notifications)
Overview
The Actions feature in the Workflows & Notifications module lets you work with Actions that are used in workflows. You can view actions in the Actions tab and see where an action is Used in these Workflows.
How to access
- In your Compass workspace, go to Workflows & Notifications.
- Click the Actions tab.
Key features
- View the Actions table, including the table columns Actions, Name, Type, and Description.
- Use In Workflow / Used In Workflow / Workflow Usage, including Used in these Workflows.
- Configure Actions, including Email Configuration.
- View the Action Logs Table with columns Status, Action, Workflow, Source, Entity, Records Affected, Duration, Error, and Started At.
Field descriptions
Actions table fields
- Name: The action name shown in the Actions table.
- Type: The action type shown in the Actions table.
- Description: The action description shown in the Actions table.
- Actions: The Actions column in the Actions table.
Email configuration fields
- Subject: The email subject.
- Body: The email body content.
- Recipients: The recipient configuration for the email.
- Users: Users you include as recipients.
- Roles: Roles you include as recipients.
- Email Addresses: Email addresses you include as recipients.
- CC Users: Users included as CC recipients.
- CC Roles: Roles included as CC recipients.
- CC Email Addresses: Email addresses included as CC recipients.
- CC the User listed in: A user field you select to CC.
- CC the Email Address listed in: an email address field you select to CC.
- BCC Users: Users included as BCC recipients.
- BCC Roles: Roles included as BCC recipients.
- BCC Email Addresses: Email addresses included as BCC recipients.
- BCC the User listed in: A user field you select to BCC.
- BCC the Email Address listed in: an email address field you select to BCC.
- To the User listed in: A user field you select as a “To” recipient.
- To the Email Address listed in: an email address field you select as a “To” recipient.
- Content: The content area used when configuring the email.
Action log fields
- Status: The status shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Action: The action shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Workflow: The workflow shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Source: The source shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Entity: The entity shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Records Affected: The number of records affected shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Duration: The duration shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Error: The error shown in the Action Logs Table.
- Started At: The start time shown in the Action Logs Table.
