Managing Brands
Create, edit, and manage brand records in Compass.
Brands Dashboard
The Brands dashboard shows all brands in your workspace in a table view. From the dashboard you can:
- View and sort the list of all brands.
- Group brands by Brand Type, Status, Service Level, Category, or Created By.
- Create new brands via the header button.
- Edit or delete brands via the Actions column on each row.
Creating a Brand
- Navigate to the Brands dashboard.
- Click the Create New Brand button in the header.
- The Create New Brand modal will appear with the following fields:
- Name (required): The official display name of the brand.
- External Reference: ID for syncing with other systems.
- Website: Official URL.
- Brand Type: Select from the available types (configured in Settings).
- Status: Select Active or Inactive.
- Service Level: Select from the available service levels (configured in Settings).
- Brand Category: Select from the available categories (configured in Settings).
- Brand Logo: Upload a visual identifier (PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF; max 5 MB).
- Click Create to save the record.
Editing a Brand
- Click the edit action on the brand row in the dashboard table.
- The Edit Brand modal opens with the brand's current data.
- Update any of the fields.
- Click Save to apply changes.
Deleting a Brand
- Click the delete action on the brand row in the dashboard table.
- Confirm deletion.
Brand Settings
The Settings tab (visible to users with write permission) allows administrators to configure the dropdown options available on brand records.
Brand Types
Define which types can be assigned to brands. Use the input to add new types or remove existing ones.
Service Levels
Define which service levels can be assigned to brands. Use the input to add new levels or remove existing ones.
Brand Categories
Define which categories can be assigned to brands. Use the input to add new categories or remove existing ones.
