Managing Entities
Create, view, edit, and delete the organizational units that define your workspace structure.
Entities Dashboard
The Entities Dashboard provides a centralized, paginated list view of all entities in your workspace.
What You See
- Actions Column: Displays a View (eye icon) and Delete (trash icon) button depending on your permissions.
- Name Column: The bolded name of the entity.
- Counter: At the top of the dashboard, you’ll see the total number of configured entities.
The table supports pagination and sorting to help you quickly find specific entities, especially in large workspaces.
Creating an Entity
To set up a new organizational unit:
- Click the Create Entity button in the dashboard's header (requires write permission).
- The Create Entity modal will open.
Entity Details
| Field | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Name | A unique, concise name for the entity (e.g., "North America Subsidiary" or "London Branch"). | Yes |
| Currency | The operational currency for this entity. Note: This is automatically populated from your workspace's base currency and is read-only. | Auto-filled |
- Click Create.
Note: The system will immediately validate that the entity name does not already exist. Upon successful creation, default absence management settings are applied automatically to ensure the entity is fully functional.

- Locate the entity on the dashboard.
- Click the View (Eye) icon in the Actions column.

US Dollar (USD)).
Entity Absence Settings
Beneath the core information, you can override workspace-wide leave policies by enabling Absence Management Settings for this specific entity.

- Locate the entity on the dashboard.
- Click the Delete (Trash) icon in the Actions column.
- Confirm the action in the popconfirm.
