Scheduler Dashboard

Visualize team availability, project timelines, and potential conflicts.

Overview

The Scheduler Dashboard gives you the big picture of your organization's resources. It's designed to answer three key questions:

  1. "Who is available?"
  2. "Who is overloaded?"
  3. "Are projects meeting their deadlines?"

Views

Resource View (Top-Down)

See a row for each employee, piece of equipment, or room.

  • Green: Available / On-Track
  • Yellow: Near Capacity (e.g., 35/40 hours booked)
  • Red: Over-Booked (e.g., 50/40 hours booked)
  • Grey: Time Off / Holiday

Project View (Bottom-Up)

Filter by project to see:

  • Timeline of all tasks assigned to that project.
  • Resources allocated to specific phases.
  • Gantt chart visualization of dependencies.

Key Actions

  • Drag-and-Drop: Easily move a task from one resource to another to balance workloads.
  • Resize: Extend or shorten a booking by dragging its edge.
  • Quick Add: Click any empty slot to create a new booking instantly.

Filters

  • Department: See only Engineering or Marketing.
  • Role: Filter for "Senior Designers" when you need specialized skills.
  • Skill Tags: Find resources with specific certifications (e.g., "Java", "Safety Officer").

Conflicts

The system automatically highlights conflicts in red. Hover over a conflict to see details:

  • "Booked for Project A (9am-1pm)"
  • "Booked for Project B (12pm-4pm)"
  • Conflict: 1 hour overlap.
