Scheduler Settings
Configure resource allocation rules, working hours, and integration points.
Overview
The Scheduler Settings page is where administrators define the global parameters for the Resource Scheduler. These properties govern how availability, workload, and conflicts are managed across all projects.
Key Configuration Areas
Working Hours
Define the standard workday for your organization (e.g., 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Schedule events outside these hours will show a Warning but can still be saved if necessary.
Non-Standard Working Days
- Weekends: Default to Saturday/Sunday. Can be adjusted for regions with different workweeks.
- Holidays: Import or mark public holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas) as unavailable for scheduling.
Utilization Limits
Set the maximum hours per day/week a resource can be booked before being flagged as Over-allocated.
- Default: 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week.
- Soft Limit: Allows booking but shows a warning.
- Hard Limit: Blocks any further assignments.
Resource Types
Categorize your resources (e.g., Employee, Contractor, Equipment, Room). This enables smarter filtering on the main scheduler view.
Integration Settings
- Project Sync: Enable 2-way sync with project task dates. Moving a task in the Gantt chart automatically updates the resource booking.
- Absence Module: Pull in leave requests from Absence Management to block out sick days or vacations automatically.
Status and type options
In Settings you can Add Status Options and Add Type Options, Select Default Status and Select Default Type, and organize options with Category and Subcategory. Supported status values include: Absence Blocked Period, Absence Request, Cancelled, Confirmed, Days In Lieu, Event, External Contact, Free Text, Holiday, Holiday Carryover, Internal User, Project Custom Field, Project Primary Target, Project Risk Adjusted, Project Secondary Target, Sick Note, Special, Tentative, Trip.
