Forgot Password

Learn how to reset your Compass password if you've forgotten it.

Overview

If you've forgotten your Compass password, you can request a password reset link sent to your email address. This allows you to create a new password and regain access to your account.

Resetting Your Password

Step 1: Access Forgot Password Page

  1. Go to the Compass Sign In page
  2. Click the Forgot Password link below the password field
  3. You'll be taken to the password reset page

Step 2: Enter Your Email

  1. Enter the email address associated with your Compass account
  2. Click Send Reset Instructions or press Enter

Step 3: Check Your Email

  1. Check your email inbox (and spam/junk folder)
  2. Look for an email from Compass with subject "Password Reset Instructions"
  3. The email contains a link to reset your password

Step 4: Reset Password

  1. Click the reset link in the email
  2. You'll be redirected to the password reset page
  3. Enter your new password (twice for confirmation)
  4. Click Reset Password

Step 5: Sign In

  1. After successful reset, you can sign in with your new password
  2. Return to the Sign In page
  3. Enter your email and new password

Password Requirements

When creating a new password, ensure it meets these requirements:

  • Minimum length - Typically 8+ characters (check your organization's policy)
  • Complexity - Mix of letters, numbers, and special characters recommended
  • Uniqueness - Don't reuse passwords from other accounts
  • Security - Avoid common words or personal information

Note: Password requirements may vary by organization. Contact your administrator for specific requirements.

After Password Reset

Once you've reset your password:

  1. Sign in with your new password
  2. Update saved passwords - Update any password managers or saved credentials
  3. Enable 2FA - Add an extra layer of security (if available)
  4. Review account security - Check for any suspicious activity
