Report Builder

Overview

Report Builder is a customizable reporting engine for project and financial data. In this module, you work with the Dashboard and Scheduled Reports, and you use Create New Report to set up a report.

How to access

In the Compass sidebar, open Report Builder, then choose either Dashboard or Scheduled Reports.

Key features

  • Dashboard: View report-builder content in the Dashboard area.
  • Scheduled Reports: Work with Scheduled Report and Saved Report items in the Scheduled Reports area.
  • Create New Report: Click Create New Report to open Create New Report and start creating a report.

Field descriptions

  • Report Title: The title for your report.
  • Report Type: The type of report.
  • Data Source: The data source used for the report.
  • Access Level: The access level for the report.
  • Active: Whether the report is active.
  • Private: Whether the report is private.
  • Administration Notes: Notes for administration.
  • Dashboard Content: Content shown on the dashboard.
  • Project Detail: Project detail setting for the report.
  • Task Detailed: Task detailed setting for the report.
  • Trip Detailed: Trip detailed setting for the report.
  • Report Link: A link associated with the report.
  • Saved Report: A saved report.
  • Scheduled Report: A scheduled report.
  • Schedule Name: The name of a schedule.
  • Period (Frequency): The schedule period (frequency).
  • Weekdays: The weekdays used for a schedule.
  • Time: The time used for a schedule.
  • Time Picker: A time picker for selecting time.
  • Email Subject: The subject for an email.
  • Email Message: The message for an email.
  • Internal Recipients (Users): Internal recipients (users) for an email.
  • External Recipients (Emails): External recipients (emails) for an email.

  • Projects Report.Table Table columns: ID, Project Name, Status, Stage, Health, Internal, Private, At Risk, Risk Type, Primary Director, Secondary Director, Primary Target Completion Date, Secondary Target Completion Date, Risk Adjusted Completion Date, Blueprint, Parent Project, Workspaces, Initiating Workspace, Tags, Count in Statistics, Created At, Updated At, Created By, Updated By.
