Survey Templates
Create reusable survey designs for consistent data collection.
What are Survey Templates?
Templates are pre-built survey structures that define the default questions, settings, and form layout for new surveys. Every survey must be created from a template.
Creating a Template
- Go to Surveys → Templates.
- Click Create New Template.
- Fill in the required fields.
- Click Create.
Template Tabs
After creation, templates have 2 tabs:
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| Survey Settings | Configure category, private toggle, and description |
| Survey Form | Design the default questionnaire using the SurveyJS form builder |
Template Settings Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Category | Classify the template (supports inline create, edit, delete via modal) |
| Private | Toggle — when enabled, surveys from this template are private by default |
| Description | Free-text description of the template's purpose |
Using a Template
- Click Create New Survey from the Dashboard.
- Select the template from the dropdown.
- Click Create.
- The new survey inherits the questions and settings from the template.
Managing Templates
Editing a Template
