Absence Management Dashboard

Overview

The Absence Management Dashboard is a configurable personal dashboard that provides a real-time overview of your absence balances, team availability, and pending actions. It uses the shared Personal Dashboard framework, meaning widgets are configured server-side.

How to Access

  1. Open your Compass workspace.
  2. From the main navigation, select Absence Management.
  3. The Dashboard is the default landing page for the module.

Key Widgets

The dashboard is composed of several interactive widgets:

Balance Trackers

Small, informative cards that give you an instant view of your personal allowance:

  • Remaining Holidays: Shows the number of holiday days you have left for the current year.
  • Used Holidays: Displays the total number of holiday days you have already taken.
  • Unused Days-in-Lieu: Tracks time-off earned from overtime or extra work that hasn't been used yet.
  • Sick Days: A counter for the number of sick leave days recorded this year.

Management & Calendar

Larger, comprehensive widgets for planning and management:

  • Absence Calendar: A visual calendar view showing your team's absences. This helps in identifying coverage gaps and planning project schedules around availability.
  • Open Approvals: (For Managers) A list of pending absence requests requiring your attention. You can quickly review and action requests directly from this widget.

Widget names and availability may vary depending on your organization's server-side configuration.

Dashboard Customization

Because this is a Personal Dashboard, you can tailor it to your needs:

  • Manage Widgets: Enter "Edit Mode" to add or remove widgets from your view.
  • Resize & Reorder: Drag and drop widgets to rearrange them, or resize them to prioritize the information most important to you.
  • Filters: Use the dashboard filters to adjust the date range or focus on specific data points.
