Budget Estimator Dashboard
Overview
The Budget Estimator dashboard lets you start project budgeting using catalogs and line items. You can work with budget item types (CapEx, OpEx, and Service Revenue) and use reusable blueprint templates. The module also supports multiple currencies.
How to Access
In your Compass workspace sidebar, go to Budget Estimator. The dashboard is the default view.
Key Features
- Budget Metric Cards: Quick snapshot of key financial metrics.
- Budget Monitoring Grid: Track budget performance across projects.
- Budgeted vs Actual Chart: Visual comparison of planned spend versus actual costs.
- Latest Budget Updates: Activity feed showing recent changes to budgets.
- Budget Approvals: Manage items requiring review in the Budget Approvals Table.
- Filtered Budget Tables: View specific subsets of budget data.

From the sidebar, you can also navigate to:
- Catalogs — Manage standardized items
- Blueprints — Create budget templates
- Approvals — Dedicated approval workflow view

Field Descriptions
- Initial Cost: The starting cost value for a budget line item.
- PAR Level: The PAR level value associated with a budget line item.
- Unit Cost: The cost per unit for a budget line item.
- Weight: The weight value recorded for a budget line item.
- Vendor Part Number: The vendor's part number for the item.
- Quantity Unit: The unit used to measure quantity for the item.
- Vendors: The vendor(s) associated with the item.
- Taxable: Indicates whether the item is taxable.
- Sales Tax: The sales tax value applied to the item.
- Lead Time: The lead time associated with the item.
- Manufacturer(s): The manufacturer(s) associated with the item.
- Distributor(s): The distributor(s) associated with the item.
- Multiplier: A multiplier value used for the item.
- Currency: The currency used for the item.
- Related Capex Item: A linked CapEx item related to the current item.
- Related Tasks: Linked tasks associated with the item.
