Budget Items

Manage individual line items within your budgets.

What are Budget Items?

Budget items are individual cost or revenue entries that make up your complete budget.

Example budget items:

  • "Office chairs - Standard size (200 units)"
  • "General Manager salary (monthly)"
  • "Consulting services (40 hours)"

Adding Budget Items

Method 1: Add Manually

  1. Open your budget
  2. Click Add Item
  3. Fill in details:
    • Category — Budget category
    • Description — What this item is
    • Quantity — How many/much
    • Unit Cost — Price per unit
    • Total — Auto-calculated
  4. Click Save

Method 2: Add from Catalog

  1. Open your budget
  2. Click Add from Catalog
  3. Search or browse catalog
  4. Select item(s)
  5. Adjust quantity if needed
  6. Click Add

Managing Items

Editing Items

  1. Click on the item row
  2. Modify any field
  3. Click Save
  4. Total recalculates automatically

Deleting Items

  1. Select item(s)
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm deletion

Each budget item has the following views:

Service Revenue

Service Revenue items track expected revenue alongside costs. Add revenue items with projected amounts and time periods to see the complete financial picture.
