Project Notes
Document important information, decisions, and meeting notes directly within your project. Project notes provide a central repository for project-related knowledge.
Accessing Project Notes
- Open your project
- Click the Notes tab to view the notes dashboard
Working with Notes
Creating a Note
- Click Create New Note.
- Choose a Template (Optional): If your organization has predefined templates, you can select one to pre-fill the note structure (e.g., "Meeting Minutes", "Site Visit Report").
- Enter a Title: Use a descriptive name for easy searching.
- Write Content: Use the rich text editor to format your notes, add bullet points, and highlight key information.
- Categorization: Assign a Category and Subcategory to help organize your notes (e.g., "Correspondence" → "Email", "Meetings" → "Stakeholder").
- Mention Team Members: Use
@followed by a name to mention specific users. This helps flag the note for their attention. - Workspace Sharing: Select which workspaces should have access to this note if it needs to be shared beyond the current project.
- Click Save to create the note.
Linking to Tasks
Notes can be linked to specific project tasks. This is useful for providing context or detailed documentation for a particular piece of work.
- Create or open a note.
- Use the Related Tasks selector to link the note to one or more tasks from the project plan.
Viewing and Editing Notes
- Search and Filter: Use the search bar and category filters to quickly find specific notes.
- Audit Trail: Every note tracks who created it and who last updated it, along with timestamps.
- Quick Preview: Click any note in the list to open it for reading or editing.
Deleting a Note
- Open the note you wish to remove.
- Click Delete in the action menu.
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt.
