Catalog Items
Individual task templates within task catalogs that define standardized workflows.
What are Catalog Items?
Catalog items are pre-configured task templates. When a catalog is applied to a project, these items become active tasks. Each item defines instructions, timing, and automation rules for a specific piece of work.

Catalog Item Tabs
When you open a catalog item, you will see the following tabs. Some tabs are conditionally visible based on the item's configuration.
| Tab | Always Visible? | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Task Information | Yes (shown as Task Information Review in edit/review mode) | Core details, instructions, subtasks (acceptance criteria), and assignments (default owners/assignees). |
| Task Applicability & Timing | Conditional — hidden when the task applies to all projects with default creation timing, or when project-based overrides are configured | Configure when the task should be created and which projects it applies to. Shows a badge with the total rule count. |
| Project-based Overrides | Conditional — only shown when the item is configured to adjust based on project details | Define rule-based overrides for specific project criteria (e.g., "If Project Location is 'New York', increase Duration to 15 days"). Shows a badge with the number of overrides. |
| Dependencies | Yes | Manage predecessor and successor relationships. Shows a badge with the dependency count. |
| Feedback | Yes | View comments and ratings from project teams who have used this task. Shows a badge with feedback count. |
| History | Yes | Audit trail of all modifications to the catalog item. |
Working with Subtasks
For complex tasks, use the Subtasks feature to break work into actionable steps. These subtasks are inherited by project tasks when the catalog is deployed, ensuring team members follow the prescribed process.
